In 2023, Waves were one of six services who were commissioned by NHS Sussex to engage children and young people with complex needs to give their opinion and have their voice heard around their experiences of their NHS. Called Conversations in Health and Care, Waves ran music workshops enabling 45 young people to share their feelings powerfully through music. Following this feedback NHS Sussex delivered the independent review below which aims to better understand what works well in the NHS, and what could be improved on, in order to provide the right mental health and emotional well being care and support to children and young people and their families.
